okay its seriously difficult t pen dwn thoughts and stuff frm ten days ago and not t mention the wonderful sights and sounds of darling italy here. yeah so i figured i'd use the pics t tell the story.
my first trip t europe.
definitely memorable

okay i shall try t rmb t the best of my ability

went t rome first
everything thr is like humongous. as in the monuments and stuff. yep the roman columns and the statues. everything. like gazillion times taller than me or sth. oh we arrived on their national day i think. people everywhr. we saw some sort of a demonstration or sth like tht. people protesting. although dunno for wht cause. anyhw. basically rushed arnd trying t breathe in the sights and stuff.

yep and posing hurridly [but prettily] for all the photos. gosh. like a million or sth. and the rivers and stuff. pretty.
walked and walked and walked and walked
ohman rome is definitely not for the weak legged. and yes i believe very well it is built on SEVEN hills. and tht's a lot of walking thx a lot.
up and dwn the hills. stairs after stairs.
my fav part of rome is basically the colloseum. u knw the half stadium thingy. whr gladiators used t fight.
beautiful.
and we got t climb all over it and take pictures and stuff. you get the drill
but we didnt hv time t stop and shop in rome. cos its a very touristy city and people everywhr and stuff. so not much time t sit arnd and shop lest the odd postcard and stuff.

but we DID see alot of PDA-ing stuff. hahaa not your typical kind of peck-on-the-cheek stuff.
i mean real french kissing. LOL pls
and standing on park benches and showing off kinda thing.

mm and italians jst love the sun so much thr. cos apparently summer which happens t be the hottest time of the year is a grand temperature of 18 degrees? around there yeah.
so hot huh.
anyw, they were all lolling in the sun and stuff. not hot at all can. vry unlike sgp. and the tchrs told us the weather was somewht like singapore. HA HA
but the air there is freaking dry and having t apply lip balm and moisturiser evry few hours is so not funny.
and water is so darned hard t find. not t mention expensive. one bottle of water fr abt 2 euros or more. 2 euros=4 sing dollars.
heh but thts the fun of travelling. spending money.
oh man and do i hate people who 'its too expensive this' and 'its too expensive that'

siena's nice and relaxed. cant rly rmb. but i knw we went t ALOT of catholic churches. and i mean alot. at first we were like all excited and taking photos and stuff. but they all look the same after awhile and we stopped. lol. cant use flash in the churches and all. hmpf. they claim it'll spoil the paintings and stuff. ya. so the photos are kinda dark. but still see-able.
after the like sixth or isit fifth church i stopped phototaking alr. but the stained windows and gothic and pre-renaissance stuff are real cool

see i got some church lingo alr. thx t mr elwin. who is damn knowledgable abt stuff in italy. he was practically our tour guide can. apart frm angela and her boyfriend chris who is so in-your-face kinda funny:)

ok lets talk abt some shopping stuff.
the things thr are pretty nice but very touristy. like evryone has one of those thingys. yeah like the pinocchios. yep so i got some too. cute. magnets. calendars. postcards. oh and bags! haha i dnt need bags for like quite some time. satisfied my cravings for bags thr alr. was vry tempted t buy those super duper uber 100% fake but look 100% real bags. u knw. the illegal peddlers who are so damn desperate. kinda pity them in a way cos they hv t keep an eye on the police every singel moment of the day. one glimpse and they all scatter. hmpf. but the bags they sell. u knw. LV. prada. burbury. D&G. yep pretty nice. but going across the customs wld rly be a problem. yeah. so i got those not so illegal ones. hah!

the street markets are real swt. with great deals and bargaining and stuff. yep. got my wonderful jacket which screams 'i went t italy' all ovr the front with ITALIA over ther front.

oh evrything is soaked in olive oil. or rather drowining in olive oil.
haha but its not as terrible as i expected. not the singapore type but the light taste thingy.

since its the most expensive cheese. must as well as eat more of it. haha thankgoodness i can stand it. love it. but i think i've had enough of pasta and cheese for awhile.

even the buskers had standard. not jst the blind and stuff.
but people who rly loved the music.
imagine after dinner walking arnd in st marks square and listening t 6 piece bands playing classical and jazz. and walking a few steps and hearing people singing and stuff. and the arts and all. oh man. jst love it.

the best was the gondola rides. going all the way t venice and not sitting on the gondolas is totally a waste. didnt regret my decision one bit although its like 13 euros per person. lovely.
